JOB DESCRIPTIONS

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Objective:        To be a professional representative of Nebraska Nursery & Color Gardens and to promote horticulture and landscape design in a safe, ethical and professional manner.

To design an effective, efficient, accurate and sustainable landscape for the area in which they are designing.

He/she must have a landscape design background and be able to clearly design and communicate the design to the client.

He/she will have a firm understanding of landscape construction, irrigation, drainage, and grading and hardscape principles.

He/she will listen to the client’s needs and formulate a concept and design based on those needs and budget.  They must also be able to offer problem diagnosis and recommendations.

He/she will measure, base and draw landscape designs.  This may be done for clients, designers and sales persons.  Designs may be completed through hand renderings or through our CAD based design software.

He/she will inspect work of subcontractors and see that it meets NNCG specifications, contract specifications and quality.

He/she will get the project coordinated with sales orders and secure outside contractors and materials. They will coordinate with the nursery to secure in house equipment and materials.

He/she will be responsible for estimating and billing the final project as per current NNCG requirements.

He/she will follow the NNCG guidelines set forth in the NNCG manuals.

He/she will work as necessary to fulfill the job description.

Landscape Installer

Objective:        To be a professional representative of Nebraska Nursery & Color Gardens performing various landscape/turf & construction tasks.

Landscape Installer: Perform various landscape/turf maintenance, upkeep, and construction tasks: cutting/removal of existing landscapes, grading, hardscapes; building of berms and hardscapes; install landscape materials, drainage and irrigation system components; dig holes, trenches and set grades; spread and lay materials. 2 months previous experience with landscape maintenance, construction and renovation. RETAIL SALES & SITE CARE

Objective:        To be a professional representative of Nebraska Nursery & Color Gardens and work as part of a highly successful team  be responsible for maintaining high standards of plants and sales.

He/she will maintain the property, equipment and inventory.

He/she will develop good visual merchandising.

He/she will educate themselves on the inventory and other items directly related to landscaping in Lincoln, NE to then inform our clients and sell our products.

He/she will follow the NNCG guidelines set forth in the NNCG manuals.

He/she will work as necessary to fulfill the job description.

Office Assistant

Objective:        To be a professional representative of Nebraska Nursery & Color Gardens and work as part of a highly successful team  through organization, distribution and communication.

Office Assistant Job Responsibilities

Maintains office operations by receiving and distributing project information; maintaining organized project packets for the sales team.  Assists in computer work, job tracking, and estimating.

Office Assistant Job Overview

  • Forwards information by receiving and distributing communications; collecting & entering office and field data; copying information to main office and sales staff.
  • Verifies receipts; organize, file and communicates field and office work.
  • Monitors and records project progression for P/L reports.
  • Maintains project documentation and updating files during the project.
  • Logs hours and run reports estimated vs. actuals.
  • Position is Part-Time and Seasonal
  • Flexible Scheduling
